  Annual Inter Club Synchro Competition (under ASA Laws)
  Sunday 11 May 2008 - St.James` Street Pool, Taunton.
  Competition starting at 12.45pm until 4.00pm (approx)
  Admission by programme
  Adults £2.00, Senior citizens & under 16 £1.00
  All are welcome to come and watch this all routine competition. There will be a raffle in aid of Synchro Funds

  ASA South West Tshirts for officials are now available and can be collected on Saturday morning upon arrival at Millfield. The polo shirts cost £5 each.

  Affiliated to ASA South West Region and held under ASA Laws and Technical Rules. Level 3 Meet – Licence 3SW8231
  19 - 20 July 2008 - University of Bath

  • Events: 50m, 100m, 200m of each stroke, 400m freestyle and 400m IM
  • Ages are 12 years and under, 13/14 years, 15 years and over. Ages at Sunday 20 July
  • £5 per event
  • 8 x 50m lanes, electronic timing
  • Prizes: Medals for individuals, Cash prize for Top Club

  Closing Date: Friday 20 June 2008

  These events are licensed by the ASA. Any Swimmer who has qualified for any national Championships is not eligible to swim in this competition.

  ASA SW Region Youth Championships 2008 - Timings

  Clubs have been provided with details of swimmers who have been accepted for this year’s Youth Championships, and coaches and chaperone passes as ordered. The times indicated are the start times for the session and swimmers need only to arrive for the warm-ups as indicated below. Please do not allow swimmers who are not competing in the session use the warm-up.

  The programme has been preheated for the 50m, 100m & 200m events. For the 400m, 800m &1500m individual events and Team relays competitors must indicate to the recorders that they are competing before they start their warm-up. For the relays Team declaration sheets must be handed in with the team names in order they will swim as they will go on the result sheets and 1st leg times can be used for ranking.

  Parking at Millfield will again be difficult this year. Only officials will be able to park at the pool all other parking is to be in the main car park at the front of the school and then walk through the grounds. You may drop swimmers and spectators at the pool first.

  Panel Members for the Jury of Appeal for British Swimming Events – Volunteer Posts

  Nominations are required for all the disciplines - Water Polo, Swimming, Synchronised Swimming, Open Water, Disability Swimming, Masters and Diving. The term of office is for a two year period from appointment, expected to be July 2008.

  Those appointed to the panel will be required to demonstrate sound judgement and hold an official qualification in the applicable discipline or have proven knowledge and experience of the discipline. A thorough understanding of the technical rules of sport and in particular the inter relationship between the technical rules and disciplinary rules of British Swimming and FINA would be an advantage.

  It should be noted that nominees must not have any foreseeable conflict of interest and may not participate in the organisation or running of the event in any capacity.

  The closing date for nominations is 20 June 2008
