Young people from the historic port of Watchet have jumped at the chance to warn others of the dangers of leaping into the sea from cliffs and harbour walls sometimes known as tombstoning.
In an innovative way to get the message across they have helped to create and featured in a short DVD called Dont Leap Into The Unknown. In it, local harbour jumpers talk about their experiences and the accidents that they have witnessed.
They have made 250 copies of the DVD and are offering them to any organisations that could benefit from learning about the realities of harbour jumping and the dangers it presents. They only ask that recipients make a small donation to a charity involved in sea safety.
