From both a personal and a London perspective, Singapore is a special place. It's where, at the 2005 International Olympic Committee session, London outlined its Olympic and Paralympic vision to inspire more young people through sport, and won our bid to host the Games. Five years later, it has just come to the end of the highly-anticipated inaugural Youth Olympic Games ('YOG'). With the curtains coming down at the Closing Ceremony of the event, it would seem to be an ideal time to post a few observations and reflections.
