The University of East London can expect to host the most successful Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps as he prepares for London 2012 after agreeing a training camp deal with Team USA.
Team USA will use both the UEL Docklands and Stratford campuses at the University for training and support for its Olympic and Paralympic Teams before and during Games time.
Hundreds of people have joined a campaign to fight for the future of Westbury's Victorian swimming pool. The venue, built in the 1880s, is one of the country's oldest working pools.
Wiltshire Council is reviewing its leisure centres and has promised there will be no quick decision on the Westbury pool.

Is your club registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC)? Or is your club thinking of registering as a CASC?
If so, the ASA is keen to hear of any issues the club has faced whilst pursuing CASC status with the HMRC or any problems faced once registered.
Please contact the Regional Office with any issues you would like to raise or if you have any queries regarding amending your constitution to become a CASC.
These awards are given to the individual or organisation who, through educational or instructional achievement, architectural design, writing or the development of original material, competitive performance, or by a continuing effort to establish swimming facilities, has made the most outstanding contribution to swimming at national or international level.
The ASA are seeking nominations - if you wish to submit one, please send it to the Regional Office by 10 March 2010.
Britains top swimmers have finalised their entries for the prestigious national competition and will be fighting for early qualification for the Commonwealth Games.

The British Synchronised Swimming team, powered by British Gas returned home from the German Open with two silver and one bronze medal after impressing the judges with their new routines.
This is the first international competition of the season for the Brits and the debut of their new routines which encompass the new technical elements brought in by FINA.formed part of their preparations for the European Youth Championships taking place in July in Tampere, Finland. The GB squad faced international competition from all continents: Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Britain, Germany, Greece, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Sweden, Uzbekistan and Venezuela.
The first final and first medal for the team was decided on Saturday afternoon in the Free Combination where they secured bronze for the second successive year.

Over two hundred young swimmers showcased their talent in Sheffield, with many breaking personal best times and a few even celebrating new British records.
The event organised by Disability Sport Events (DSE) was supported by Nationwide Building Society. Renowned as a pathway to international success, the junior programme provides swimmers with a chance to compete against their national rivals in the pool.

Exeter City Council has announced that cash from the sale of Exeter Airport could be used to fund a much needed new swimming pool.
Devon County Council sold Exeter Airport to a private company in 2007 for over £60 million but little of the windfall has been reinvested in the city.
Members of the City Council's Scrutiny Community Committee will discuss the way forward for a pool on Tuesday 9 March 2010. Last year the City Council decided that it would not refurbish the ageing Pyramids Swimming Pool in Heavitree Road but instead look towards building a new pool elsewhere. A working group of councillors has been looking at a number of options.
Victories over the Isle of Man and Cheltenham were not enough to see Barnstaple Swimming Club through to the semi-finals. They suffered defeats to Scottish champions Dunfermline and national champions Lancaster.
After dismissing the Isle of Man 14-2, Barnstaple went down 11-2 to Lancaster.

Paignton Swimming Club has swimmers ranging from beginners to Regional qualifiers and is currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual or individuals to work closely with their experienced volunteer coaches/teachers to help guide the Club into the future.
The ideal candidate will have a UKCC Level 3 qualification or equivalent. However, holders of a UKCC Level 2 qualification or equivalent who are prepared to work towards their Level 3 qualification with a competitive swimming background will also be considered.
A full CRB enhanced check and references will be required.
