The prestigious BUCS Sportswoman of the Year, supported by the Women's Sport and Fitness Foundation, has been awarded to Rachel Poolman from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff (UWIC). Rachel recieved the award from John Inverdale and Tim Woodhouse from WSFF. As part of the next four year funding cycle Sport England will increase its investment to almost half a billion pounds, and WSFF hopes that a higher proportion of the figure will reach women than has traditionally done so.
